A contract worker was severely injured in an accident at ExxonMobil’s refinery in Baton Rouge on Thanksgiving Day. According to reports, the worker, who was treated at a local hospital, lost both of his legs in the accident.
The details are limited at this early stage, but it appears that the incident occurred during ordinary operations at the refinery.
Offering his sympathies, Baton Rouge Refinery Manager Mark Northcutt said in a statement:
“We regret that this incident occurred. Our thoughts and prayers are with the contractor and his family.”
