I’m New Orleans personal injury lawyer Mike Mahone. I learned to practice law at Liskow & Lewis, one of Louisiana’s most respected law firms. I learned a lot working at a big firm but decided to start my own firm, The Mahone Firm, to bring that unique experience to injured individuals and business clients in need of help.
The Mahone Firm is a New Orleans law firm that focuses on just two types of cases: personal injury litigation (specifically including offshore and maritime injuries) and business litigation. The firm was founded to utilize big firm experience but still, provide personalized service to individual and business clients.

I believe that this hands-on approach is the only way to make my clients feel truly at ease with the litigation process, which can be incredibly stressful.

I’ve always believed that with a smaller docket of cases and a hands-on approach, I’ll be able to be a partner in your case–not just somebody randomly calling you about your case and telling you what to do.
I’ve received various awards over the years. I have an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating a lawyer can achieve for ethical standards and legal ability. I’ve also been recognized with various awards, including Rising Stars, Super Lawyers, and New Orleans Magazine’s Top Lawyers.
In addition to my practice, I’ve published several articles on different areas of the law and have spoken on various topics. I’ve also taught at my alma mater, Vanderbilt University Law School.
When I’m not working for my clients, I spend my free time with my family. My wife and I have our hands full with our daughters and two dogs, but we enjoy every minute of it.
